ABOUT
CONCEPTUAL PLANNING
Stonewall Ridge Farm (SR) is a registered Black Angus seedstock operation located in the beautiful rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. Surrounded on three sides by the biologically rich Duck River, our farm is situated just an hour south of Nashville and an hour north of Huntsville, Alabama—right along the trail of the renowned Uncle Nearest, George Dickel, and Jack Daniel distilleries.
Stonewall Ridge Farm began as a dream in 2010 when Nancy and Gary Fayard acquired 400 acres near Shelbyville, TN. That dream became a reality in 2013 when we opened our doors and launched our Angus breeding program—one that combines cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and a deep appreciation for phenotype to produce superior Angus cattle.
As a dedicated seedstock operation, we offer cattle through both private treaty and our annual sale. In 2019, we expanded our operation with the addition of the 450-acre Knob Creek Farm near Wartrace, TN.

BREEDING PHILOSOPHY

We’re committed to the highest standards in cattle care. Our vaccination protocols, nutrition plans, and veterinary oversight are built around maintaining herd health, comfort, and performance.
We believe that better cattle start with better decisions—in the breeding pen, in the pasture, and at the table. That’s why we pair science-backed genetic tools with careful observation and evaluation of our cattle’s structure and function.

We didn’t just buy land—we bought dirt. But our goal has always been to build soil.
Soil is more than a foundation; it's a living ecosystem full of minerals, organic matter, and beneficial organisms. Every season, we work to enhance the natural fertility and structure of our fields through regenerative farming practices like no-till planting, cover crops, and rotational grazing.

The Duck River, one of the most biologically diverse rivers in the world, is a neighbor we strive to protect. Our cattle benefit from clean water, healthy pastures, and responsible management—all of which make our beef operation not only more sustainable but also more resilient.
